Accessibility Information

Street parking is free along NW 16th Street and in any of the surrounding neighborhoods. Please be courteous to our residential neighbors and do not block driveways.

A privately-operated, paid lot is available south of 16th Street on the east side of N Blackwelder Ave.

Lyric Theatre operates two private parking lots for their patrons during performances at the Plaza Theatre. One is directly across the street from the theatre and the other is west of the Thelma Gaylord Academy (west of Indiana and 16th). Parking is free and open to the public in those lots as long as they are not staffed or marked as closed.

Please note: The district association often closes down parts of the street or sections of parking to allow food trucks or other activities during high-pedestrian events like the 2nd Friday monthly art walk and annual festival. Signage is posted in advance of closings, but if your car is left over night it will be towed at the owner’s expense.
