Stepping out is a sculpture showing a graceful woman taking a step off of the tall pedestal she is on. She wears a knee-length dress that is sheer enough that you can see every curve in her body. Her left foot is firmly on the top of the 1ft. square pedestal as her right foot is pointed down off the front edge. The woman is looking slightly down at her foot that is off the pedestal. Both of her hands are slightly out from her side, with hands open to help her balance. Her hair is pulled back in a bun.
The figure is about 3 1/2 feet tall, and the pedestal she stands on is about 3 1/2 ft. high. A square foundation is under the column pedestal. Stepping Out is on the northeast corner of a landscaped area of an office complex, with a very large landscaping boulder behind it.
