This is one of those pieces of art that make you stop and ponder. My interpretation of the sculpture, in relation to the title, is that the female figure is covered in a shroud that silences her. You cannot see any part of her face or any body parts, just the shape of the figure and the overflowing robe.
The sculpture is on a flat square bronze foundation, on top of a similarly shaped concrete foundation that is slightly thicker.
Silent Desert is located next to two other pieces of art on the same corner (Chaucy, and Morning Mist), at Randel Shadid Law Office.
