On the northeast side of Edmond, just east of Interstate 35, the Edmond Fire Training Center stands among other City buildings. At the main entrance, standing on a circle of dedicated pavers, stands a life-sized sculpture of a uniformed firefighter. In his left arm, he is holding a young girl, who is holding her pet dog and gazing admiringly into the firefighter’s eyes. He is looking at her. On the firefighter’s right side, a young boy with a firefighter cap, is holding his Teddy Bear and looking up at his hero.
