Edmond’s Purple Heart Memorial is located at the west entrance to sprawling Mitch Park. It is a granite monument, tapering down from the back to the front. it is about 5 feet wide and 5 ft. tall. The base is rectangular, and has the five symbols of the US Military. A plaque sits on the ground to the right of the monument.

On the front is text (listed below) as well as the Purple Heart symbol). Two bouquets of yellow daisies are placed in front of the monument. For a long time there was a flower wreath next to the monument, but that is no longer present.
