This sculpture of two square dancers is at the Oklahoma State Fair Park. The dancers are directly west of the huge State Fair arch and east of 14 Flags Plaza, in the median at the end of General Pershing Boulevard. The pair are on a tall foundation that has plaques on 3 sides.
The two figures are dressed in typical square-dancing attire and shoes. The man is holding the woman’s hands, and they are both facing forward and appear to be in the midst of a dance move. The woman’s skirt is very full and adds quite a bit to the width of the piece.
Promenade is one of many sculptures at State Fair Park, most are in and around 14 Flags Plaza.
