Oklahoma Shakespeare

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park was created in 1985 to provide the local community, the state and Oklahoma students of every age with an opportunity to view Shakespeare and other classic authors the way they were meant to be experienced, in performance.
We mount a full, four play season every summer at the Myriad Gardens Water Stage and our new Theatre on Paseo, along with a Shakespeare camp for kids. During the school year we produce a play that serves the purposes of our teachers and offer workshops and lectures at special performances for this group. We tour productions and offer residencies and workshops to schools throughout the state.

We strive to produce bold, re-imagined and entertaining interpretations of Shakespeare and the classics, so that everyone regardless of cultural circumstance or background, can experience the transformative relevance of these works in their lives. We are committed to promoting the highest level of artistic excellence, to cultivating the widest possible audience and to enrich ourselves and the community through educational outreach.
