The OK City Chorus has a 60+ year history of providing outstanding, show-stopping entertainment across our great state and aroud the world. Made up of more than 80 women from cities throughout Oklahoma, our goal is to preserve the American art form of 4-part, a cappella, barbershop music by “harmonizing the world.”
The OK City Chorus is a metro favorite. We have enjoyed singing at the Downtown Festival of the Arts, Edmond’s Hafer Park Summer Concert Series, and Oklahoma City’s Opening Night, in addition to our annual shows and other special performances. As an Allied Arts member agency, we have performed locally with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic as well as regionally, nationally and internationally in performance venues as far away as Royal Albert Hall in London and the Great Wall of China.
The OK City Chorus provides educational outreach opportunities for youth in the metro area. Middle and high school students participate in A Capella Rocks, an in house program that introduces youth to four part a cappella singing. The annual Youth in Harmony Workshop gives young women an opportunity to sing and perform barbershop songs in a day-long event.
