Rodeo Cinema is Oklahoma City’s premier, unique nonprofit art house movie theatre. The mission of Rodeo Cinema is to promote, engage, and enrich community consciousness through film. Originally opened in 1924 to show silent movies, Rodeo Cinema now operates as a nonprofit movie theatre showcasing the best in independent film while offering guests a unique movie watching experience. Because of our 501(c)(3) status, more of every dollar you spend with us goes back to where you live, work, and watch movies to continually expand community consciousness through film. At Rodeo Cinema, we approach film watching as an experience. Whether you want to watch a silent film with live organ accompaniment, revisit a cult classic on the big screen, cheer on our home-grown Oklahoma talent, or have the opportunity to hear filmmakers speak about the filmmaking process, Rodeo has you covered. Rodeo Cinema believes in making our films and events accessible to everyone in our community. Our theater proudly offers a hearing loop system for our guests living with hearing loss. Hearing aid wearers with a “T-coil” (telecoil) setting can now hear the show directly through their hearing aids. Others desiring hearing assistance may check out a portable receiver and headset at the box office.
