Veterans Family Art Day

The Firehouse Art Center will share its 50th anniversary with military veterans and their families with its first Veterans Family Art Day event. Veterans Family Art Day will focus on our veterans and their family members, offering a day of beautiful visual arts demonstrations, food, and hands-on creative projects for all ages.

Outdoor activities will include picnic style grilled food, live art demonstrations, and hands-on creative projects like foil sculpting, chalk drawing, mask making, and frottage drawing. Outdoor demonstrations will include landscape and perspective drawing.

Inside the Firehouse, adult faculty and students will discuss the different techniques and projects covered in their classes and also what new students will experience in Firehouse programs.  Meet the artists and learn about the tools and techniques they use in our Jewelry, Fused Glass, Drawing, and Painting departments.
