GLOW EXHIBITION IN SCISSORTAIL PARK

GLOW will be on view at Scissortail Park from March 11 to April 10, 2022. The free, outdoor exhibit features Oscillation and Passage – two large, interactive works that will light up the night sky.

Oscillation (created by The Urban Conga) consists of crystal-like forms that encourage creativity and open-ended play. Movement through the installation manipulates the sounds and colors of the gems, creating music and light based on audience distance to the pieces.

Passage (created by Serge Maheu) is an immersive artwork that explores the emotional connections of light and sound. The installation consists of 20 circles of light that form a tunnel and a sound system. Walking through the tunnel activates light animations and sounds, providing a playful sensory experience for guests of all ages.

In addition to the exhibition, Allied Arts will host a community celebration on Friday, April 8, featuring a hot air balloon night glow, a synchronized drone light show, glow-in-the-dark art from local makers, live performances, food trucks and more. The event is free and open to all ages.
