Academy of Western Art | Becoming a Better Painter: Guidance from a Lifelong Painter

Artist Andrew Peters will explain his process in preparing his canvas and setting up his equipment to begin a painting. Each student will then begin painting a subject of their own choosing. Through daily presentations and demonstrations, Peters will describe how to truly see the subject and provide individual instruction to assist students with their painting through each stage to completion. Students will work on one or two paintings throughout the week.
